Winthrop has a western theme ordinance so all businesses must pass a strict review process to get their signage and buildings approved. Because of this, the entire town has a very rustic feel with rough hewn cedar and board and batten construction, even on new buildings. Just wait until you see all of the artfully painted signs and period storefronts when you come into Winthrop town limits.
The Mt Gardner Inn is a great choice for quality affordable lodging in Winthrop, WA.
